MAARTEN SLOF & SAM WILSON FLETCHER’S “PILLAR MISTER”: THINKING BIG WITH CARDBOARD

The collaborating artists Maarten Slof (Instagram: @mcslof), who is Dutch, and Sam Wilson Fletcher (Instagram: @samwilsonfletcher), who is British-Irish and divides his time between the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, are sittin’ on top of the world.

More precisely, using repurposed corrugated-cardboard boxes, our favorite art-making material of the moment, they’ve conjured up a simple, clever work of art that evokes the spirit of a historical figure who really did spend a lot of time perched high above the madding crowd.
